Guzhang tea exported to Hong Kong through ‘Single E-lock Scheme’

Aug Fri 2024
With the joint efforts of China Everbright Group and Xiangxi Customs, 13,000 boxes of black tea produced by Niujiaoshan Ecological Agricultural Technology Development Company in Guzhang County were exported to Hong Kong through the “Single E-lock Scheme” on August 27. It’s the first time that tea from Guzhang County has been exported through this mode.

The “Single E-lock Scheme” is an achievement of reform jointly made by Changsha, Shenzhen and Hong Kong customs. Through measures like mutual recognition of supervision, mutual assistance in law enforcement and information sharing, the scheme will declare goods quickly and achieve connection of customs clearance in Changsha, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

This scheme can effectively reduce the cost of customs clearance and logistics for enterprises, and open up an efficient and convenient channel for Hunan’s goods to export to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and even the world.

To support the industrial development and tea export of Guzhang County, Everbright Group has provided strong support in funding, technology, market and talent cultivation and other aspects. It has also introduced market-oriented management concepts and modern enterprise management models to improve the product quality and market competitiveness of leading enterprises, and help Guzhang tea go global.

Xiangxi Customs guided multiple tea gardens in the county to complete the registration of export tea plantations and strictly supervised the production quality of tea. Since 2023, Guzhang Maojian tea and Guzhang black tea have been exported to countries such as Belgium, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates.
